We enjoyed our stay again this winter. We found the staff attentive. We would like to have had a little more sunshine and warmth but the units make it easy to spend time indoors as well. We will be returning again next year.

Overall, great stay. Being only 0.3 miles from the beach was awesome. The unit had a comfortable layout and was well insulated. We couldn't hear anyone in the units to the right or left, or out at the pool. Our kids loved the pool. Air conditioning worked great. The downside was that the refrigerator made a buzzing sound and the dryer required many restarts to dry a towel. We decided that the refrigerator and dryer were not really needed for our weekend getaway, so didn't use either after initial issues. Texting and talking with the management team was beneficial. The team communicates well. We will consider this location in our future beach visits.

Big Shell was beautifully decorated. Easy check in. Place was perfect for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. Washer and dryer was nice. We came back home with clean clothes. That was nice. The beach was close enough to walk to. We got a permit and drove on the beach instead. We will definitely come back. Thank you for making our stay easy to love.

We loved our stay! The condo was spacious. It was clean but the floors and couch did still have some sand but we are at the beach so I know it’s hard to get everything with sand clean. We had everything we needed. We brought stuff that we thought the place didn't have like a blender and air fryer but there was a crock pot and bowls and toaster and plenty of storage for food and good size fridge. The pools were so fun and the beach was a 5 min walk. The beds were comfy and the showers roomy. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed from Thursday to Sunday, Easter weekend. We loved the place so much. The pool is right outside the door.the beach is just literally 5' minutes walk. Everything is so nice and clean as in pictured. Bonus washer and dryer are so convenient. Wash and dry as needed.

2021-A “Different” Kind of Year

As “Winter Texans” our experience was very “different” this year. We missed all of the things we normally did like attending events, dining out, going to movies, spending time with friends, etc. None of this was the fault of Big Shell at Village By The Beach but due to Covid 19. Although Covid did not take away the beautiful beach! Our Unit Big Shell was very comfortable and we look forward to returning next Jan. And hopefully, be able to enjoy all the “normal” things” we love.

Big Shell was wonderful. My kids and grand children had such a great time in the pools, and playground. Being so close to the beach added a special bonus. The guys went fishing off the jetties. We all enjoyed shelling. Big Shell was spacious for our family of 7 to not be tripping over one another. Perfect for family gathering or reunion. The unit was clean, and well maintained. Premier Gulf Coast Properties handled our reservation professionally, efficiently. Could not have chosen a better rental management team. Lisa, and Jennifer were awesome.

This stay was AWESOME!!! Everything we needed was there! Walk right out the patio to the pool was awesome, location to beach was great, and the townhome is sound proof. We never heard a single noise from any of the neighboring units. The only complaint that we would have had was the key situation with the pool. The keys stay stuck in the gate and we found ourselves getting up and down constantly to let our kids in or out. The pool was so relaxing and warm. We will definitely be making this location a future stay. As a bonus I don't think we ever even turned the ac on the whole time because the unit was so cool and stayed cool all day. Thanks for the hospitality we appreciated everything.

Great size unit. Decorated nicely. Cold AC. Has old school video game in kids room. Right outside pool so can watch kids. Units have nice patio. Trundle beds had sands in sheets was only minor issue.

We had a great 2020 2 Month Stay in Big Shell at Village By the Beach on Padre Island. It is well situated with just a short walk to the beach with a great pool area conducive to getting to know other Winter Texans and families. The warm weather was really a treat as well. Our unit was perfect for seniors as it is all on one floor and has pretty much everything you need. The response time from any call we made to management was excellent and the housekeepers were thorough and friendly.
